How to turn a lead into a phone call

A TED notice names the public buyer and, on almost every German notice, its own telephone number — so the call is usually one step, not a search. Here is how to use it.

The registers that apply here

Germany publishes no national building-permit register - the sixteen Länder each run their own, and none publishes in bulk. What Germany DOES publish, daily, is every public construction contract it puts out to tender, through the EU's own official journal. That inverts the usual problem: instead of a permit that names nobody, the notice names the contracting authority on every record, and most carry the authority's own office telephone or mailbox; the offer page gives today's measured share. The gap is the opposite one - these are public buyers, not private developers - so the reader is a contractor who wants to bid, or a supplier who wants the firm that just won.
